The Floor Plan

I've put together a sample floor plan from a project in the works to showcase what I typically do for clients.

This particular client wanted the whole package: new furnishings, fabric selection, art, lighting, and accessory selections. The first thing I do is draw up the floor plan and start space planning. I select the furniture and scale each piece into the room. I then scale the art pieces onto the walls and place the lamps.

A separate document is also sent with images of the furnishings and other selections, along with the sizing of each item. My clients are able to buy the furnishings, etc. at their own pace from the retail locations specified or may choose to find thrifty alternatives based on the style and dimensions provided.

My services are ideal for those who want a professional opinion and the opportunity to design with their own schedule.

Spanish Influence for a Traditional Home

I am currently working on a redesign for a home with Tuscan architecture and tile work. As I was selecting furniture and accessories for the space I thought of a home I designed in Tucson, Arizona where the theme was "Spanish Traditional." The neutral color scheme emphasized golds, creams & browns. This house was very clean in it's design, yet had a feeling of formality. The Spanish decor was combined with a less ornate and predominately traditional style. The outcome was a sophisticated, neutral, traditional home with hints of Spanish influence.

Comfy, Cozy Living

I created this Pottery Barn inspired family room for my dear mother who has been dreaming of redecorating for some time now. She loves the clean and casual look that Pottery Barn offers, as do I!

The neutrals of this space make it easy to add pops of color that can be changed from season to season and although I personally love white sofas, I opted for a softer tan sectional here since there are two grandbaby boys who love to come visit their mema! The storage ottoman can serve to hide the toys and games and the upholstered swivel rocker from Lee Industries is perfect for rocking the babies to sleep.

The tall vaulted ceilings will easily accommodate the large 36" clock from Ballard Designs that will hang over the TV. The abstract landscape art is from Art.com and the garden stool accent table is from One Kings Lane

Nautical Home

In the model home industry, each home is thoughtfully themed to attract certain buyers and to present the best possible layout for each space. Having over six years experience in the model home field, I was able to design many different homes, with many different themes... each being unique to the local area and having a definite color coordinated emphasis throughout.

Below are some images from the "Nautical Home."
One of my favorites to design with the simple whites and dark wood furniture and pops of blue, this home made me feel like I was on vacation every time I entered. So peaceful.

Bathroom Makeover

A bathroom vanity makeover!

Our client wanted to renovate their existing bathroom with a country-cottage look and more storage space. We drew up a detailed elevation for inspiration and I love how the finished product turned out!

A Growing Little Boy!

Working on a growing toddler's "big boy" bedroom!
He loves trains, and I love green & blue. I wanted something that he could grow into and that the theme could easily be changed. Once this Pottery Barn Kids inspired room is full of toys it will be a fun area for playing and relaxing! And, as he gets older the furnishings will easily grow with him.

I particularly love the train art found here from Art.com!
The metal wire baskets from the Container store are a fun touch, too.

My favorite place for bedding is where I found the blue & green quilt - Pottery Barn Kids.
